    Y'all won't believe the kinds of questions I get;

    No. Adding vodka to grape juice does not make it "wine". It makes it a cocktail.

    Yes. Grape juice can ferment in the fridge and yes, that is wine... technically.

    No. Despite its origin, brandy is NOT considered wine.

    No. If it does not say "bottled in Champagne, France", it is NOT champagne; it is "sparkling wine"... and don't knock it 'till you try it; some sparkling wines are far superior to many "champagnes" found out there.

    No. Grape juice is NOT wine... in the modern context... despite what Mr. Welch believed.

    Ah... Got that off my chest. I feel better now.

    Question: What's better than wine tasting in April?
    Answer: Wine tasting at Martin Estate in April.

    It was perfect weather for wine - sunny and warm - and there was a light breeze carrying the scent of dry soil and early orchard blossoms. We had set out early that morning and already hit two other vineyards for tastings and lunch, and the 20 minute drive north to the Rutherford Appellation gave us all much needed tastebud rehab time.

    In New York, supermarkets are once again pushing to change a law that forbids them from selling wine. Many liquor store owners are enraged at this debate as they believe that it will cause them to be put out of business. The supermarkets are arguing that by allowing wine to be sold in their stores they will be able to increase new jobs.

    Hey Winos,

    I'm a representative from the Olympics Wiki, and we require some of your oenological expertise, especially if you live in London, been to London, plan on visiting London, or just read an article about a cool wine bar in London. In preparation for the 2012 Summer Olympics, we began releasing an original series of videos about the city of London. Our first video is about nightlife in the English capital, as you can see on the London Nightlife page, but it's mostly people dancing in a nightclub. We could really use your help in recommending some good wine bars or places to drink in general.

    You can help in the following ways:

    • Send this link along to people you know in London
    • Post your favorite London wine bar to the Nightlife Director…

    I have to admit I am on the fence but if I had to vote I would choose Californian because of my wonderful experiences in Napa. What are your thoughts on this long standing debate?
