  About Edit

A red wine grape variety named after a famous French First World War General. This French Hybrid was bred by Eugene Kuhlmann of Alsace, who cited the Vitis Vinifera variety Goldriesling as one parent. It has good winter hardiness and ripens very early. It was once widely cultivated in the Loire and is still popular in Canada and New York, where it is often simply called Foch.
